Raquel Jimenez is a painter whose work explores emotion, presence, and quiet strength through a realistic approach. My work focuses on painting animals, particularly felines, as a way to explore quiet strength, presence, and emotional intensity through realism. I create detailed oil paintings that emphasize texture, light, and subtle expression, allowing each subject to communicate a sense of calm power and inner life. My intention is to move beyond simple representation and create a connection between the viewer and the subject, encouraging a moment of stillness and observation. I work primarily with oil on canvas, building layers through careful observation and controlled technique to achieve depth and realism. Through this process, I aim to create images that feel both intimate and powerful, where the presence of the animal becomes a reflection of emotion and strength.
